Biografie

Prof. Dr. Sandy Adam studierte von 2004 bis 2007 International Business (B. A.) an der Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden und von 2007 bis 2009 Sport Sciences (M. Sc.) an der Universität Jyväskylä (Finnland).

Von 2013 bis 2019 sowie von 2022 bis 2025 war er an der Sportwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Leipzig – insbesondere im Bereich Sportökonomie und Sportmanagement – als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter tätig.

Von 2019 bis 2021 wirkte er zudem als Lecturer für Football Business an der Solent University (Großbritannien) sowie als Senior Analyst bei Play the Game am Danish Institute for Sports Studies (Dänemark).

Im Oktober 2025 schloss er seine Dissertation zum Thema Corporate Governance im deutschen Profifußball ab. Seit Februar 2026 ist er Professor für Management / Sportmanagement an der Fachhochschule für Sport und Management Potsdam.

Er ist Mitglied der European Association for Sport Management (EASM) sowie der Denkfabrik sportainable und verfügt über umfangreiche berufliche Erfahrungen in den Bereichen Finanzen, Marketing und Vertrieb. Darüber hinaus war er in internationale Kooperationsprojekte, unter anderem im Rahmen von Erasmus+ und DAAD, eingebunden.
